DIY arrow table setting

We’re loving the continuting trend for all things metallic, and can’t resist the cute arrow details we’re seeing all over Pinterest this spring. Combining the two, we’ve made these sweet arrow place settings. They’re easy to knock up with just a bit of glitter card and some washi tape (you know we LOVE washi tape, right?) – here’s how…

Friday I’m in Love… new wedding stationery from Hobbycraft

Hobbycraft new wedding stationery

The Hobbycraft press day at Homemade London yesterday saw the launch of Hobbycraft’s beautiful new wedding collection – we love! The blush hues and gold embossed details add a touch of luxury to invites and save the dates, while glitter detail confetti, cake toppers and luggage tags are a great way to pull your W-day look together on a budget.

The save the date and invites have space for you to add the details of your day, making them a great option if you’ve left it too late to go for personalised stationery, or just want to keep your costs down.

Another favourite of ours was the ‘Just Married’ bunting – string it up across your venue so it’s the first thing guests see when they file out of your ceremony!

The Hobbycraft wedding stationery collection is available to buy online in two weeks, then available in stores in three weeks’ time. Find more wedding inspiration at You can see more pics of the collection from the press launch on our Instagram feed, too!

Tassel garlands look amazing hung across your venue or used for tassel balloons. They’re expensive to buy ready made as they’re quite time consuming, but they’re easy to make if you’ve got a bit of patience and a few helpers! I made hundreds for my wedding, using them for our giant tassel balloons and to hang across our barn venue. They take a lot of time but you don’t need to be particularly crafty to get a great result – here’s how…

A retro red and blue wedding

Happy Friday everyone! We are VERY excited here at The Paper Bride as we have our very first real wedding to share with you. And as it’s SO dull and grey out there right now, we’ve chosen one that’s filled with bold colours and summer florals to brighten up your day.

The wedding took place at Old Down Manor – a beautiful old country house that overlooks the Cotswolds – and was shot by Lizzy May Photography. Believe it or not, super-talented Lizzy also designed all of the stationery! “I first met Sarah (the bride) when she visited our pop-up shop, the Little Wedding Space, in Bristol,” says Lizzy. “She loved our suppliers so much she booked us all at once! She chose me to do photos and stationery, Kirsten Butler for styling, Anna Tyler for the cake and Emma Norton for the flowers.”

Let’s take a look…

Alternative place name ideas

Fancy something a bit different to the usual place cards on your tables? We love these cute ideas – you can find even more on our Pinterest page.

1. These paper flowers are made from old book pages – hunt out copies of your favourite love stories at charity shops and cut out the individual petals from pages (if you can bear it). Sweet huh?
