Hello lovely brides-to-be! Welcome to our brand new blog.
Our names are Cath and Holly and we first met while working together on Perfect Wedding magazine five years ago. Since then, we’ve worked on and written for a range of UK wedding magazines, and share a passion for creative brides and DIY details. Like all the best ideas, The Paper Bride was born over a bottle of wine and a conversation about how difficult it was to word wedding invitations. As well as showcasing the prettiest invites from our favourite UK stationery designers, The Paper Bride is packed with helpful advice, from wording guides to printing practicalities, to help you get paper pretty for your big day.
Cath has written for bridal magazines for the past five years, and loves all things wedding. Planning her own wedding this year made her realise how much thought and effort goes into the perfect stationery. She loves her two little cats, Posy and Mitten Kitten, espresso martinis, Margaret Atwood novels, oversized jumpers, yoga and stupidly high heels (not all at the same time). And her new husband, Chris.
Since being a bridesmaid at the age of eight (the colourscheme was lemon, by the way), Holly has been a wedding addict. As part of her therapy, she worked as deputy editor of Perfect Wedding before going freelance. She got married in 2004 and as an excuse to do it again, she celebrated her 10 year anniversary with a mini festival in Dorset. She lives with her husband Tom, daughter Poppy (8), Benjamin (2) and Charlie the dog.
